Conservation
As a core member of the Cheshire and Wirral Raptor Study Group, spring and summer is a busy time not only for commissioned projects, but also for volunteer work. As part of our volunteering, we routinely access raptor nests in order to safely lower nestlings and/or adults down to be ringed and have their measurements taken, before returning them to their nest. As well as this, we also install cameras to monitor nests throughout the season and gather valuable data. The autumn and winter months provide time to build and erect nest boxes that will hopefully go on to be utilised the following spring and summer.
We extend this offer of canopy access to other conservation projects.
